Inspired by the great Pineapple Plantations of a bygone era, this beach home reflects all the qualities of a time when Hawaii was the trading crossroads of the Pacific. Warm stucco exteriors frame solid mahogany windows and doors, all surrounded by lava pavers and lava exterior walls. Inside, grasscloth covers every wall while a warm sisal was applied to the ceilings and a custom floral motif was carved into walnut wainscoting. Limestone counters cover the kitchen and bathrooms which frame solid bronze sinks and bronze hardware. In the master bath, a solid raw 2 ton boulder was carved into a tub. The outdoor shower boasts lava walls on three sides, which frame a dazzling custom tile and cut-glass art wall in a jungle motif. Antique chandeliers from France and England cast light on antique hand-made rugs, desks, and tables, while all the upholstered furniture is custom.
